Christopher C. Carver, MD, FACS is a board-certified neurosurgeon with more than 25 years’ experience in performing spine and brain surgery including a variety of microsurgical, spinal instrumentation and minimally invasive procedures.
He graduated from Yale University in 1973 and the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1977. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and was assistant resident and later chief resident in neurological surgery there. He is board-certified by and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Neurological Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Carver has served as Chief of Critical Care and Chief of Surgery at Salinas Valley Memorial. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, California Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Monterey County Medical Society, and the Western Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Carver is on the medical staff of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Natividad Medical Center and the Monterey Peninsula Surgery Centers.
Born in New York and raised in Florida, Dr. Carver resides in Salinas. He enjoys multiple physical activities including cycling, surfing and snow skiing with family members.
