Dr. Kalle Varav is a board certified anesthesiologist who is fellowship trained in Pain Management. He has more than 16 years of experience in pain management and his primary focus is on the procedural management of pain for his patients.
Dr. Varav received his bachelor of arts degree in Biological Science and Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, then went on to receive his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Varav completed his Surgery internship and Anesthesiology residency at UCLA, and his Pain Management Fellowship was completed at UC Davis. He is board-certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Varav is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the International Spinal Invervention Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society for Pain Physicians.
Dr. Varav joined Monterey Spine & Joint in May of 2016. He is on the medical staff at the Monterey Peninsula Surgery Centers, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and Natividad Medical Center. He has resided on the Monterey Peninsula with his wife and family since 2010.
